Why so serious?

If I hear one more time that beeing a blogger is the easiest thing, taking photos all day, doing nothing, I will really give really good esay of time taking things  in this job. I have two posts more from my vacation in Turkey, than I will make a short therm pause because i was really smart and I forgot my harddisk at home in Istanbul with all of the photos in it, but in the meantime You guys will enjoy in something different, slowly I would like to start with videos, beauty posts, Madam jolie street style moments, some great recepies and many others. One post like that you will be able to see tomorrow on this blog. And, yes, i really need 48 hours in a day.

Soo, I will start with my beeing smart attitude, and present small Galipoli harbour, main square where You can see original Troian horse used in movie and really nice promenade wich looks adorable in any part of the day (in the night they have water show, and every night you can come to listen turkish marsh with the background of water sprinkles making turkish flag, it is really marvelous thing to see). Trough the sea shore You can visit Sea museum, Military museum of Galipoli, Ataturk museum, Museum of fine arts, and Piri Reis museum wich really thrilled me.
Piri Reis was a pirate, sailor, admiral and mapmaker, he lived in 15th century so that fact makes his life more interesting. Piri cooperated with turkish pirate Barbaross in mugging of franch trading ships. He made his first world map in Galipoli in 1513. Now, only peace of that map is kept, peace with Atlantic ocean with parts of weat african coast and east coastline of New world. Map was probably showing all Europe, Asia, Africa and discovered parts of America. On margins he showes that he was using Columbos map. Resarching of him as personality will be really interesting for you since he was mentiond in really popular TV show “Suleiman the Magnificent”. Suleiman accused him for betray and condamned him to death. Besides original parts of maps, there are sculptures of sea life in plant and animal form from all seas that suround Turkey, different types of compass and many other things wich i didn’t even knew that exist. Unfortunately photographing in museum is forbiden, and I like that because i have more time to enjoy and absorbe everything, when it’s opposite i focus on having good photographs. To hear about Piri Reis you don’t have to go to Galipoli, there is quite good collection of his things in Topkapi museum in Istanbul, wich i’m quite sure most of You have already seen and in Naval musem wich is located in area of Besiktas. I truly hope that I made You resarch more about this fascinating man.
In front of museum on main square of Galipoli on the ground You can see giant mosaic of his map and compass. I photographed that but as I said most of the photos are in Istanbul and there is a lot of them so I will make update post of this one to show You great things that human hand made. Outfit in this story is totally unimportant, i choose to be comfortable and I ran out of the house that morning so I took the first thing from the wardrobe.

IMG_1979 IMG_1981 IMG_1989
